CBSE - Intel AI for youth virtual apprenticeship program

We extend our Congratulations to three of our students

who have been selected for the first ‘CBSE – Intel AI for youth virtual apprenticeship program’

The program is driven by CBSE and Intel with support from National Youth Council, Singapore and Institute of Technical Education, Singapore. The week-long immersion program has been designed to enable the selected youth to work collaboratively with youth from Singapore and create unique social impact solutions, be inspired by industry experts, get insights and advice from tech experts, get insights into Singapore culture through a virtual tour and sharing of experiences.

National Robotics competition - Navyantram

Sashank Raviraj of grade IX D recently participated in a National Robotics competition named ‘Navyantram’, held in Indore. He represented DPS, Whitefield, and has secured the first position. Kudos!

Akshit Arya's Achievement

 

Our students are going places in so may areas, adding feathers to their caps and bringing laurels to the school.

 

Young football enthusiast, AKSHIT ARYA of Grade-V E has made his mark in football by winning the Karnataka State Football Association Tournament -2021. Akshit is a member of the Bengaluru FC Academy. He and his team clinched the U-10 crown with a 1-0 win over Bangalore City FC Magic, during the KSFA Youth Premier League final at FSV arena.

DPS E-City organised IGNIS, an Inter-School Competition for Grade I to V students. Our children bagged awards in different categories. Congratulations!!

Grand Master - Shreehan Singhal

DPS Whitefield is delighted to share the excellent achievement of
Master. Shreehan Singhal, (class 2, section D). He has been awarded
‘Youngest keyboard player with blindfolded eyes’ under India Book of
Records 2021 as well as  ‘Grand Master’ under Asia book of records for
2021. He has achieved this at the young age of 7 years, 10 months and
able to play keyboard for more than 30 mins with blindfolded eyes.
India Book of Records:  Youngest keyboard player with blindfolded eyes The record for being the youngest keyboard player with blindfolded eyes was set by Shreehan Singhal (born on July 3, 2012) of Bengaluru, Karnataka. He can play songs on the keyboard for 8 minutes at the young age of 7 years, 10 months and 1 day, as confirmed on May 4, 2020.
Asia Book of Records: ‘Grand Master ‘ Shreehan Singhal (born on July 3, 2012) of Karnataka, India, is titled as ‘Grand Master’ for playing tunes of Bollywood songs on the keyboard with blindfolded eyes for 30 minutes at the young age of 7 years and 11 months, as confirmed on June 30, 2020.

High Achiever

Avi Basak won (singles U13 boys) in a recently held Karnataka State Championship.  Almost a week-long championship was held in the district of Davangere from Monday, September 30, 2019 to Saturday, October 5, 2019.  The championship win takes his tally to total of 5 gold and 1 silver in U13 category out of 7 State level tournaments. Currently ranked no 1 in the state in under 13 category. Also participated in national level tournaments and is currently ranked 23 in the country in boys single in U13.

Aditi Avinash, a UKG student of our school, has proved that there is no age limit when you have good intentions to help someone. Aditi has donated her hair to cancer patients. We are proud of you Aditi. You are an inspiration to all of us.

Math Week

‘Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations or algorithms, but rather about understanding’.

An interactive and interesting learning experience of Math Week for our students with a range of different activities that included online Quizzes, number games, riddles, and crossword puzzles among many others. All this was well-received by our students and had them excited about the world of Mathematics.

Cyber Safety Week

We are living in the age of the internet. Our children are getting easy access to the internet which has raised concerns for cyber safety among us and our children. We at Delhi Public School, Whitefield celebrated cyber safety week in the month of December 2020. The main purpose was to create awareness about cyber threats and to take appropriate safety measures while using the internet. The programme helped our students to explore critical thinking, device safety, and protecting privacy while staying safe online.

Innovation

Spine Support
SPINE SUPPORT– an innovative product designed by our design student –C.Aishwarya / grade-XII.
The creativity of our students is infinite. C.Aishwarya of grade XII has designed a unique yet simple spine support accessory that can provide relief to senior citizens with lower back pain and children suffering from muscoskeletal disorders. . She has contributed her product design to SREYA FOUNDATION of Vishakhapatnam for collaboration of the product to help children who suffer from cerebral palsy. The product was tested on three children and it was found to be excellent. The foundation will go on to manufacture the spine support product and distribute it among its patients. It is a stupendous achievement and DPSW wishes her all the best for her future endeavours.
